Ceremonies by Jeannette

Make it
uniquely yours.

A ceremony with room for your traditions, your language, and the promises you want to make.

We do…

Make your wedding ceremony as unique as you are.

Jeannette would be pleased—and honored—to officiate your wedding in Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, or anywhere else on Cape Cod.

She performs everything from handfastings and formal liturgies to simple “I do” ceremonies on the beach. She believes in the importance of ritual to mark life’s milestones and will work with you to shape a ceremony that makes sense uniquely for you.

“I’m just honored to be part of your story.”— Jeannette de Beauvoir

What it can hold

A ceremony can be simple and still feel profound.

There is no single right structure. Jeannette can offer possibilities, listen closely, and help you choose what belongs.

  1. 01

    Your words

Write your own vows, adapt existing ones, or begin with examples that help you find the language.

  2. 02

    Your traditions

Honor a religious, spiritual, cultural, or personal tradition in a way that feels true to you.

  3. 03

    Your people

Make space for a reading, a witness, or a small role for the friends and family gathered around you.

  4. 04

    Your setting

Let the beach, garden, meetinghouse, or another Cape setting become a quiet part of the ritual.

The practical part

Plan for the Massachusetts marriage license.

Massachusetts normally requires a three-day waiting period after you apply for a marriage license.

Both parties generally apply in person through a Massachusetts city or town clerk. The license is valid for 60 days, and it does not have to be issued by the town where your ceremony takes place.

If timing is tight, you may petition a court for a Marriage Without Delay waiver. Requirements and fees can change, so confirm the current process with the clerk who will issue your license.

Jeannette can help you understand the steps, but official requirements should always be confirmed with the issuing clerk.

“Jeannette was fantastic—so flexible and accommodating. She was way more ready than we were with everything and just made the whole process so simple.”— Sue & Roger
